PROGRAM OF DAYS
7 days to experience and photograph the soul of Milan in perfect Italian style like a local
Milan, with its mix of history, modernity and design, is the ideal setting for a photographic journey that ignites creativity and inspires your artistic vision. During these intense days, you will discover iconic places and hidden corners of the city, perfecting your style and technique with the guidance of a renowned professional photographer.
This workshop is not just a journey through Milan, but a total immersion in the art of photography. Whether you are a beginner or a professional, these extraordinary days will give you a fresh perspective, advanced skills, and a portfolio full of extraordinary images.
Get ready to experience Milan as you've never seen it, through the lens of your camera.
DAY 1: Arrival and welcome
The journey begins at the airport, where a private transfer welcomes guests and takes them to the heart of the city. Awaiting them is a Milanese apartment with authentic charm: exposed beams, wooden floors, warm light filtering through the windows. Here, time seems to slow down. On the small balcony, weather permitting, a glass of red wine becomes the first toast to the journey that is about to begin. After a moment of rest, the evening opens with a welcome dinner: an opportunity to get to know each other, share photographic experiences, and be introduced to the spirit of the tour — an experience that will be a combination of visual exploration, cultural discovery, and personal storytelling.
DAY 2: The roots of Milan: the city reveals itself
The first glimpse of Milan is the purest, that of wonder. We start from the historic center, where the white stone of the Duomo is reflected in the windows of the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele and hidden passageways lead to secret courtyards and ancient doorways. Every glimpse tells a story: the geometry of the facades, the shadows under the arcades, the voices of people crossing the square. It is the perfect day to train your eye in architectural and street photography, to learn to read the city not only with your eyes but with your intuition. At sunset, the lights of the trams and the reflections in the puddles become impressionist brushstrokes on a living and changing urban canvas.
DAY 3: Contemporary Milan: between design and skyline
The following day is dedicated to the modern face of the city: Porta Nuova, the Biblioteca degli Alberi (Library of Trees), the glass skyscrapers reflected in the sky. Lines become visual music, contrasts become poetry. Between designer architecture and industrial courtyards converted into studios, "minimalist and art photography" finds its dimension. The goal of the day is to capture the rhythm of the metropolis, that constant dialogue between ancient and contemporary that makes Milan a unique city. In the evening, a creative exercise: build a small coherent photographic series, five images that convey the sense of contrast.
DAY 4: Sips and faces: the city that lives and breathes
Milan is made up of people, gestures, and scents. The morning begins among the stalls of a market, where the hands of the vendors move the living matter of colors and seasons. It is an opportunity to experience “human reportage,” observing relationships, smiles, and small daily rituals. In the afternoon, photography intertwines with taste: a visit to a historic shop, a glass of wine in a wine bar, a dish prepared with love become ideal subjects for practicing “food photography.” The evening ends with a convivial dinner and a nighttime stroll, where the warm light of the street lamps mixes with laughter and the clinking of glasses: the most authentic Milan.
DAY 5: Lights, silence, and nocturnal magic
The fifth day is dedicated to the search for visual intimacy. We set off to discover hidden places, internal gardens, and cloisters that have stood the test of time as oases of silence amid the urban chaos. Here, photography becomes contemplation. In the afternoon, a workshop on natural and artificial light guides participants in interpreting tones and shadows with awareness. And when evening falls, Milan is transformed: the lights of the trams, the signs, and the reflections on the water offer the opportunity for a session of “night photography,” where each shot captures a fragment of magic.
DAY 6: The art of editing: from a single shot to a story
The After days of visual immersion, it's time to look back and build a story. The day takes place in the studio, between monitors and prints: selecting, cutting, combining. It's the day of “photo editing,” “storytelling,” and authorial awareness. Each participant learns to recognize their own visual voice and to build a coherent project, ready for an exhibition or a photography book. This is where photography ceases to be a simple image and becomes a story, an emotion, an identity.
DAY 7: The last glance
The last day always arrives too quickly. After a leisurely breakfast and the last rays of light on the apartment's wooden floor, it's time to say goodbye. The private transfer takes guests to the airport, while their minds retrace faces, lights, reflections, moments. They are not just leaving a city, but an experience that has changed their outlook.
PLEASE TAKE NOTE
The indicated program offers a general overview of the organization of the week, but may be subject to variations to ensure the best photographic conditions. Factors such as weather, quality of light and length of days, which vary with the season, may influence how the days unfold, but will make each experience unique and unrepeatable.
Alternative excursions (not included in the price)
As an alternative to the days proposed in the program, or for those who wish to extend their trip, extraordinary photographic experiences outside Milan are available:
“Lake Como” — A day between Como and Bellagio, where the deep blue of the lake meets the mountains and gardens of historic villas. A photograph made of reflections, elegance, and silence.
“Bergamo Alta and Crespi d'Adda (UNESCO)” — From the 19th-century industrial city to the Venetian walls of Bergamo Alta, two worlds meet in a single visual narrative of memory and beauty.
“The hills of Monferrato or Langhe (UNESCO)” — Landscapes of vineyards, rows of vines, and hills bathed in the golden light of sunset. Barolo tastings, meetings with producers, and photography that becomes a story of wine and the land.
YOU CAN ALSO PARTICIPATE IN THIS PHOTO TOUR FOR JUST ONE DAY.
One day, one emotion:
enjoy the Milan Photo Tour experience even if it's just for a single day.
You don't need a whole week to experience the magic: sometimes “just one day” is enough to change the way you see the world forever.
If you wish, you can “take part in a single day of the Milan Photo Tour,” choosing the theme or destination that inspires you most — from the elegant streets of Milan to the lights on Lake Como, from the silence of Bergamo Alta to the golden vineyards of the Langhe.
Starting at €350.00, you'll have access to the full experience of a day of photographic travel: transfers, tutors, photo shoots, and moments of discussion and inspiration. It's a total immersion in the gaze, an opportunity to breathe in the atmosphere of the tour, learn techniques in the field, and take home images that tell a story — your story.
Whether you want to experience an “intense taste” of Milan or “a whole day of light and landscape,” the Milan Photo Tour is also open to those who only have one day but a great desire to be moved, explore, and create.
Because every single day, lived with curious eyes and a camera in hand, can become “a small masterpiece.”
THE FREEDOM AND COMFORT
OF AN APARTMENT
Choosing an apartment during a photo tour offers participants an authentic and immersive experience in the heart of the destination, allowing you to live like a local and not just a visitor, with the freedom to move around without time constraints and the possibility of recharging in a welcoming and intimate space after intense days of photography; the apartments offer larger spaces than a hotel room, ideal for resting, reviewing the images taken and preparing the equipment for the next day, with the added advantage of saving on costs while enjoying a more convivial group experience, sharing emotions and inspirations in a context that fosters creativity, transforming every moment into an opportunity to deepen the connection with local culture and enrich one's artistic journey.

BUT ALSO A JOURNEY THROUGH THE WONDERS OF ITALIAN CUISINE

WHAT PEOPLE SAY

Nenette Yu
Hi Mino, your one day Milan photo tour was well planned and perfectly timed. You covered all the great spots for photography and even had time for some adhoc ones. I was able to generate a lot of good images from that one day alone and saw a lot of Milan. From the start you were very communicative and easy to reach when I had questions and you were very flexible with my plans. But I think the best thing of my whole experience was getting to ride on a motorbike for the very first time. Thank you so much for a wonderful and definitely memorable day!! All the best, Nenette

In the words of the great Artist Kasia Harders "Simple is beautiful". This statement of truth applies in no small way to the experience my husband & I had working with Mino during a weeklong photo tour of Milan. As a working photographic and media professional with nearly 4 decades of experience, I know quality when I see it, and Mino made it a point to provide the highest of quality at every turn. From the stay at the immaculate, quiet & well stocked apartment "The Pretty Attic", designed by his lovely partner & architect Leecha, to the well tailored & thought out shooting plan, which revealed hidden Milanese gems alongside well known locations, Mino left no stone unturned in making sure we were learning and enjoying our time together. (make sure you ask to hear his music playlists...perfecto!) What impressed me the most is the attentiveness he gave to my husband Paul, a Deaf man with a desire to learn photography after seeing me work for so many years. The love of light that awakened as Paul's eyes began to open in new ways through Mino's patient teaching, became the bridge between any language barrier, letting my hands focus on shooting over interpreting between Italian, English and American Sign language. Watching Mino's genuine excitement every time Paul "got the shot" and most importantly, understood the concepts Mino was imparting, made my heart swell as these two became like brothers, bonding over the magic of photography. With Mino, not only will you see beautiful sights, and learn what it takes some a lifetime to understand, you will have the honor of being in the presence of someone who truly cares about you and your journey. Grazie mille amico mio. Looking forward to our next photographic journey together.

It was very special experience, my husband brought me to this trip to encourage me to grow in photography. I was excited to go but I was more into exploring Italy and especially Milan where we haven't been. After several days exploring other parts of Italy like Venice and Florence I had been taking photos on my own and realized that I need some tips to improve with my photos.Meeting Mino & working together was interesting as I am Deaf and non-Italian speaking so it is obvious that language would be a barrier. But Mino was patient and knew some English so language wasn't a barrier.I did learn a lot from him as he gave me one to one attention and was patient with me about clear communication. In turn we end up learning from each other especially him learning sign language and for me how to get better shots!!Now I have an Aquarius brother in Italy ?? Grazie!!

I was glad that I spotted the Facebook post about this tour. It has been a joy to get to be shown places in the Milan area that we probably would not have found on our own. The introduction to various foods ( even though I didn’t try them all was also fun). It was also helpful the suggestions on how to take and/or edit my photos to improve the story. Mino and his wife were a delight. Thank you for the home-cooked meals. Thank you for the suggestions for Venice.

Mino Di Vita provided a wonderful mix of photography lessons and tours of areas in and around Milan that tourists seldom visit. In addition, the accommodation was beautiful and well appointed. Mino made us feel like family with a number of home cooked meals and making sure we stopped for other meals “like the locals do.” He quickly assessed our technical and artistic photography skills and honed in on our desire to become better at composition - making a photo rather than just snapping a picture. My wife and I were very pleased with the positive changes in our photography. For any photographer that wants to improve their results, seriously consider this immersive experience.

Making the decision take the Italian Tour was the scariest part. Once I get in touch with Mino, every concern, I had disappeared. The answered emails quickly and provided all the information I needed to schedule my trip. One week before the tour he "FaceTime" me and we discussed the weather, tour destinations, food and my expectations. Mino was always checking into to make sure I needed no thing. He tought me italian history, language, art and food. I was invited into his home for dinner where I met his wife . Mino and his wife made me feel at ease- Amazing People! I got to see peacocks, cows, dogs, birds and lizards (Mino knew I loved animals) so he mad every opportunity for me to photograph them. The accommodations that were provided were better than expected, clean, contemporary with plenty of space including a balcony for me to drink my morning coffee. I couldn't have asked for more! Mino provided the entire package - great touring of photographic locations, shopping, food and friendship. Mino made sure I was happy at every turn of the tour. I not only learned about my camera, setting and composition - but about friendship. Would I ever go on another tour with Mino? Yes - he is a great man, photographer and mentor!

Wow, this workshop was absolutely amazing! It totally boosted my photography skills and made me feel like a pro. You’re not just a photography expert you’re also super friendly and patient. Your passion for photography was infectious and it made learning so much fun. Plus, getting to explore beautiful places in Italy and putting your teaching skills to the test was a dream come true. I really appreciate you taking the time to answer all my questions and give me personal feed back on my work. It meant the world to me. And on top of that, you Licia invited me into your home made my feel like family. Sitting around your table, eating, drinking, talking and laughing was the cherry on top of an incredible week. I’ll never forget

I had wanted to go to Venice for a long time to photograph it, so I grabbed this photo tour on the fly and went. Not having participated in many workshops I had no idea what was in store for me. Let's cut to the chase. Liked it and very useful. It was not the usual workshop, “photo here, frame this landscape, etc...” because Mino gave us at the beginning a “photo project” to develop by evaluating our previous photos. He gave me a goal that at 'the beginning put me very much in trouble, but then stimulated me to find the right “photo”, thought, wanted and imagined before shooting. Waiting for the gondola or the person on the bridge with the colorful dress, looking for the window or the particular corner of Venice ... so I brought home some good photos and grew in assessing what to photograph and what not. Let's get to the sore side the rain...but you can't have everything, snow and high water in Venice I think was the non plus ultra...and then you created a great relationship with the other participants, you grew up seeing the photos and commenting on them. Thank you Mino!

I was lucky enough to attend my first photography workshop in the city, Venice, that more than any other I wanted to explore, with the added value of having found in Mino Di Vita a competent and helpful tutor both from a technical and organizational point of view, who also managed to establish a close-knit group, which is not always easy. The snow and high water contributed to the magic of the event.

Olivia Smith
This photo tour allowed me to develop new photographic skills, thanks to the practical advice of tutor Mino Di Vita, and gave me a series of images that tell the story of the beauty and diversity of this fascinating Italian city.

Participating in this Venice photo tour with Mino Di Vita was an incredible experience. His deep knowledge of the city and photography proved invaluable in capturing the essence of Venice. Every hidden corner and every canal offered endless photographic opportunities, and Mino guided us masterfully, sharing practical tips and advanced techniques. I was able to capture the magic of the reflections on the water, the unique atmosphere of the calli and the timeless beauty of the Venetian palaces. A highly recommended tour for those who want to see Venice with a different look in the company of a true professional.

Paolo Medari
The photo tour in Venice with Mino Di Vita is a must-do experience. With his expert guidance, I captured the essence of the city in unique shots. Perfect for those who want to explore Venice through the lens!

I highly recommend this photo tour in Venice given by Mino to anyone who wants to discover the beauty of this fascinating and unique city while improving their photography skills.
