Education
My adventure in photography began in the classrooms of a historic Academy of Fine Arts where I discovered that images have the power to tell complex stories through simple shots.
Over time, my interest in this medium grew, and I felt the need to hone my skills by attending a graduate program in Communication and Visual Arts at the university.
During this educational path, I chose to specialize in urban landscapes and still work in this area today, transforming my passion into a profession.
A passion that for work or tourism has taken me to many countries, discovering extraordinary urban landscapes hidden in small villages or offered by large and dynamic metropolises.
My vision
I consider landscape photography an extraordinary aesthetic experience, capable of engaging the viewer in an indefinable way, capturing their attention and evoking—in a completely inexplicable and unpredictable manner—a multitude of emotions and moods.
It is the same experience one feels when a setting tells its own story through the elements that occupy its space and bear witness to the passage of time.
This, in short, is my mission: to discover the essence of places, capture it with my camera, and convey it to the public through images.
Every shot is the result of a deep understanding of the context and a relentless search for the message that each place conveys to those who know how to listen.
Whether it’s the urban landscape, living spaces, or workplaces, the built environment is my playground a fascinating subject where my creativity can find its fullest expression as I seek out the most appropriate light and the perfect perspective.
It’s a powerful blend that transforms into vibrantly colored compositions telling stories of authentic life that unfold over time.
Experiences
For over thirty years, I have been working as a freelance photographer, collaborating with multinational companies on projects ranging from publishing to advertising campaigns in the real estate and tourism sectors.
My work has been published in prestigious international magazines such as *Office Snapshots* and *Marie Claire* in Italy, Hong Kong, and China, where it has told compelling stories about urban and working life.
This natural narrative drive and my ongoing artistic exploration of the relationship between people and space have led me, over the years, to develop deep and extensive experience in interior photography: a meticulous study of light, volumes, and the atmospheres of living and working spaces, aimed at bringing out the soul and identity of each environment.
In recent years, this career path has been enriched by new forms of expression: today, I also curate photography exhibitions and develop artistic publishing projects, extending my visual research to include directing documentaries in order to bring even more complex and immersive stories to life.
My photographs have been exhibited in galleries, institutions, and international art fairs, and many of my works are part of private and institutional collections. I am also the author of several photography books published by major international publishing houses
Since 2013, Japan has become an integral part of my journey: whether for work or out of an overwhelming passion, I return regularly to Tokyo and its various regions. Over time, I have developed a deep and well-rooted understanding of its customs, traditions, and cultural nuances—a wealth of experiences that I have also captured in dedicated publications, designed to share my vision with others in a dialogue that continues to shape my perspective.
Thanks to the recognition we have earned in the industry, I am often invited to speak at industry conferences and workshops to share my techniques, as well as to serve as a judge evaluating the portfolios of emerging photographers at photography festivals.
I currently live in Milan, but I work between Milan and Tokyo.
